Vector Sustainability is a registered company providing research and industry services for Scope 3 emissions accounting and sustainability services.

 

Vector Sustainability has a sister company XIO Sustainability Analytics A/S based out of Norway. 

 

Vector Sustainability has specific expertise in providing services around EXIOBASE data, and global multi-regional input-output data; including applications for scope 3 emissions reporting.

 

Vector Sustainability is directed by Professor Richard Wood.

 

Richard is a former full-time, and now adjunct Professor at the Industrial Ecology Programme at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Richard is now based in Australia, and an adjunct Professor at the University of Newcastle.

 

Richard played a pivotal role in developing the EXIOBASE multi-regional input-output model, a critical tool for quantifying environmental footprints and analyzing consumption and trade impacts.

 

Richard has over 100 publications and has been recognized as one of the top 1% of global researchers by Web of Science from 2019 to 2023. He is also a co-editor in chief for the Journal of Industrial Ecology and has taught various courses on life-cycle assessment, input-output analysis, trade, and the environment as part of NTNU’s Industrial Ecology masters and PhD programs.

 

Richard is proficient in quantitative modeling techniques, particularly in carbon footprint analysis, life-cycle assessment, and environmental input-output modeling.
